About Us
Carmen Williams has over 25 years experience in dog training and rescue. Her training method of choice is positive reinforcement.
Carmen is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer, knowledge assessed (CPDT-ka), and she earned counseling certification
from the San Francisco SPCA.
Carmen is a certified AKC Canine Good Citizen (CGC) Evaluator and has been trained in
dog first aid by the American Red Cross. She is currently working as a Mentor/Trainer for the Animal Behavior College,
where she is helping to shape the next generation of positive dog trainers.
As a long time dog lover and trainer, Carmen William's vision was to open a training facility that would be friendly and
stimulating to the canine set. The nature trail and off-leash area are safe places where dogs can enjoy a sense of
freedom and excitement with their human companions. The many windows in the training room give the dogs and humans a
view of the natural setting outside and a less enclosed feeling.
Carmen moved from California to Washington in 2002 to open Sunny Lane Canine Academy, Sedro Woolley, located in Skagit County.
In California she ran a business named Delta Home and Pet Services for 5 years. She lives on the Sunny Lane
property with her 3 dogs, Trixie, Sweet Pea, and Bart as well as 2 very spoiled male cats,
Taz and Willy the Woo Woo.
